COVID-19 Operational Status As Life-Sustaining Business

The State of Pennsylvania continues to respond quickly to the COVID-19 pandemic. We applaud the rapid and extensive steps they are taking to protect the health and well-being of our communities. Our guiding principle continues to be that the health and well-being of our employees, customers, suppliers and partners are of primary importance. We extend that to the well-being of the community in which our team lives and works.

Mirian Solutions is classified in the State of Pennsylvania as “Computer & Electronic Product Manufacturing – Semiconductor and Other Electrical Component Manufacturer”. In the list provided by the Governor’s office as of March 19, 2020, this business type is clearly authorized to continue operating under the current order.

Mirian Solutions continues to operate as a qualified life-sustaining business in PA.

Further, as a contract manufacturer we operate as an extension of our customer’s business. Our customers depend on us to produce the products their clients need. We provide services to a diverse array of businesses, many of which are in categories also authorized to continue operating, such as Facilities Services, Security Services, Telecommunication & Broadcast Services, and Commercial & Service Industry Machinery Manufacturing. All of these categories are authorized to continue operating under the current order. Our Logistics & Warehousing division further qualifies under the Transportation & Warehousing category.

Our customers work with clients including the United Nations Food Bank, the Pentagon, thousands of hospitals, pharmaceutical companies and testing labs, and many other organizations that are clearly life-sustaining businesses. Mirian Solutions is an extension of these critical industries and a vital part of their manufacturing and supply chain programs.

We continue to instruct our team to follow the guidelines and best practices provided by the CDC which include hygiene, cleanliness, isolation when sick and social distancing recommendations. More details are on the CDC website and are updated regularly (https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/community/guidance-business-response.html). Access to our facility is limited to employees only.

Additionally, we have implemented a quarantine program for all materials entering our facility. These materials will be stored in an isolated location for at least 24 hours prior to being processed by our receiving team. Although this will add an extra day of processing to our receiving process, we feel it is a prudent and necessary step to further protect the health and well-being of our team.

If you have any questions or would like to discuss how we may be able to add depth to your supply chain or product distribution, please contact us.
